Frequently Asked Questions

Your biggest questions about RV power, lithium, solar, and Alberta electrical rules — answered clearly.

Do you offer inspections or checkups without full upgrades?

Yes. We offer diagnostic checks, system inspections, and seasonal health reviews for RV electrical and solar systems. This is a good option if you want peace of mind or are planning future upgrades.

How do you determine what size system I need?

We review how you camp, what appliances you use, and how long you stay off-grid. From there, we calculate daily energy use, charging sources, and runtime to design a system that fits your needs — not a one-size-fits-all package.

How much solar do I need?

Most RVers use 100–800W depending on fridge type, furnace runtime, Starlink or CPAP usage, and how many days they stay off-grid. We size your system precisely for your camping habits.

Will lithium or solar upgrades void my RV warranty?

No. When installed correctly with proper fusing and protection, DC system upgrades do not void an RV warranty. You receive documentation with every VoltCraft build.

Can you fix a previous bad install?

Poor dealer or DIY wiring is extremely common — melted lugs, undersized wires, missing fuses, tangled cables, unsafe grounds. We specialize in clean rebuilds.

Do I get diagrams of the work?

Every VoltCraft installation includes a simple, clear wiring overview and fuse chart. It helps with future upgrades, troubleshooting, and resale.

Where do you work?

Based in Strathmore, Alberta. We serve Calgary, Chestermere, Langdon, Wheatland County, Drumheller, and surrounding areas by arrangement.
